El Pan

Ashley's Mission Email #43

So We just got done with a zone activity and I'm exhausted. Sorry if this doesn't make sense but hey, it was a good week! We had a bunch of new investigators at church. It's always the coolest thing to be sitting in sacrament and see an investigator walk in.

We've learned here that the opposition works really hard to not let us have baptisms. There were 2 in our zone this Saturday, but there was no water at the church to fill up the font. Oh, if I only had my camera to take a picture of how many missionaries it takes to fill up a baptismal font. It's about 20... it was sure an adventure. In the end, there was only enough water for her to literally sit and then lay down in the water, but all was well!

This week we asked one of the kids of the Familia Diaz Alvarez what his favorite part of church was. He said the bread. Haha.

We are working on making our area a branch and we think we are almost there. We are finding wonderful families who are so prepared! It's awesome to see the Lord work miracles especially in an area that's never seen Mormones before!

Check out the talk by M. Russell Ballard called "Now is the Time" if you want to get a little bit more excited about your missionary work!

Well love you all, but I sure love the DR and these wonderful people here.

Love, Hna Allen
